Grocery Grill Refresher!






Great sunny weather, the patio is swept, the grills are out, it's BBQ Season! This is a refresher on my Grocery Grill. The full blog is in the archives. Some BBQ reminders: The grill lid is always down with the top lid vents WIDE OPEN! Adjust the bottom vents (open, half open, closed) to maintain ideal BBQ temperature. Ideal BBQ temperature is between 200F and 250F. And I like to use Kingsford charcoal briquets, they burn evenly and last a long time. In the Grocery Grill I use about 20 briquets. Season the meat the night before and remember smoke wood is like seasoning, don't over do it! I apologize to BBQ veterans, I cheat; I like to BBQ for 2 hours and then use the crock pot (with a little apple juice or wine) for a couple of hours. The result is very flavorful, moist, BBQ!
